Job summary

California Closets in Kent, WA is hiring a Field Support Technician to perform in-home measurements and provide a survey for custom cabinetry while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role offers a steady schedule Mon-Fri with 6:30a-3p and pay ranging from $28–$33/hr DOE; 40 hours/week with overtime potential and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction or millwork, or home renovation industry.
• Millwork estimating experience preferred.
• 1+ years in construction with cabinetry installation knowledge.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficient with CAD, Epicor, Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assess design against on-site specifications and report changes to designers, manufacturing or install team.
• Coordinate with Design Consultants to provide measurements, photographs and data for sale & design.
• Assist in picking up files and samples from the office for measuring purposes.
• Conduct re-measurement of project redesigns as needed.
• Create CAD copies and indicate detail to support design revisions.
• Review CAD drawings to determine project scope and installation challenges.
• Perform site surveys and create site plans for installation team and communicate directions.

Job Description:

The core responsibility of the Field Support Technician is to conduct in-home customer visits for the purpose of measuring space and providing the job site survey for custom cabinetry while providing exceptional customer service.

***The pay for this opportunity is $28-$33/hr DOE***

***The typical work schedule will be Monday-Friday 6:30a-3p***

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess design against on-site specifications and report any necessary design change requirements to team members (Designers, Manufacturing, Install Team)
• Coordinate with our Design Consultants to provide concise measurements, photographs and data for the purposes of sale & design of custom project.
• Assist Design Consultant to pick up files and samples (hardware/finish samples) from the office for the measure purposes, as needed
• Conduct a re-measurement of project re-designs, as needed
• Create copies of CAD design when jobsite errors are found and indicate specification detail to support the designer with the necessary information to complete design revisions if necessary.
• Review proposal (CAD drawings) specifications to determine the projects’ scope of work identify possible challenges in installation of the job.
• Perform job-site surveys and create job-site plans for the installation team and communicate installation direction and expectations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience construction, millwork industry related materials and hardware, and/or in the home renovations/improvement industry
• Millwork estimating experience preferred
• 1+ years of experience in the construction industry with knowledge of the installation practices for customized cabinetry solutions
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn and apply various business systems (CAD, Epicor, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Proficient in math (i.e Fractions and unit measurements)
• Ability to provide an exceptional client experience aligned to the company values
