Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead 30+ field crews and support EHS initiatives ensuring safe, efficient operations. The role focuses on safety, quality, and developing team members while coordinating with Area and General Managers to implement company initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to customer service. The position is field-heavy (80%) with some office duties and requires a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED completion required.
• 1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ team members.
• Must be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contacts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships with your team.
• Contributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employees.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems.
• Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices.
• Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct leadership/supervision for 30+ field crews
• Assist Area Manager and GM in executing company initiatives
• Collaborate daily with Area Staff for continuous improvement
• Maintain field (80%) and office (20%) responsibilities
• Ensure safety, quality, training, employee engagement, and retention standards
• Protect the company’s team members, customers, and assets through safe practices
• Coach, Motivate, and Develop assigned team of protectors
• Develop relationships with new and existing customers to achieve goals and new business opportunities
• Perform job site and vehicle inspections, meet with clients, and work in the field with the team as needed
• Address customer service issues promptly and efficiently while providing high levels of service
• Monitor payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues, and training requirements
• Facilitate teambuilding and regular communications with team members
• Engage and support the training of new and current employees to reduce turnover and labor costs
• Obtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications
• Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging
• Other duties as assigned.
