Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring a Paramedic Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate field crews and management, and manage equipment and supply maintenance.

The role requires Kansas paramedic certification or eligibility, 3 years EMS experience, CPR/PHTLS/ACLS, and a valid driver’s license; driving record must comply with policy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Kansas State Paramedic certification or eligibility for Kansas State certification.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Current CPR, PHTLS, and ACLS certifications.
  • 3 years of EMS experience required.
  • Paramedic field experience preferred; EMT field experience considered.
  • Driving record must comply with GMR policy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day EMS operations and field crews.
  • Direct, monitor and evaluate all field team members.
  • Maintain quality field operations through daily interaction and oversight.
  • Prepare written feedback for team evaluations.
  • Implement process improvements and ensure field paperwork reconciliation.
  • Ensure operational response exceptions are closed with appropriate action.
  • Monitor truck cleanliness, maintenance, and DHS levels.
  • Recommend training and QA/QI program improvements.
  • Provide team counseling, guidance, and information on ABC Ambulance operations.
  • Investigate incidents and file internal/external reports; counsel as needed.
  • Supervise and develop subordinates, including performance reviews.
  • Participate in committees to set policies and generate ideas.
  • Communicate company goals through daily performance and conduct.

Paramedic Field Supervisor

$22.54 - $27.27 / hour depending on experience

We’re hiring a Paramedic Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, including facilitating internal communication between field crews and management, outside facility interface, facilitating short-term scheduling needs, equipment, and supply maintenance. This is an EMS position.

Responsibilities
  • Interacts, assists, and supports crews daily at the beginning and/or end of their shifts.
  • Direct, monitor, communicate with, and evaluate all field team members.
  • Ensure maintenance of quality field operations through daily interaction, oversight, communication, and evaluation with field team members.
  • Prepares written feedback for team member evaluations.
  • Proactive in approach to day-to-day operations, implements process improvements.
  • Ensure PCR’s and other field paperwork is 100% reconciled daily in conjunction with the PCR processing.
  • Ensure 100% of operational response exceptions are brought to closure with appropriate action.
  • Monitors truck cleanliness and truck maintenance issues.
  • Works with crews to maintain truck cleanliness and proper DHS levels.
  • Makes recommendations to the Training Manager and Clinical Specialist to improve various aspects of the training and QA/QI programs (This may include changes in specific study materials, technology, and standard operating policies, procedures, education, and training).
  • Provide team counseling and guidance and information regarding ABC Ambulance operations.
  • Promptly investigate incidents involving assigned units or team members, including filing of internal and external reports, and counseling.
  • Directs and leads support staff in inventorying, ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing medical and shop equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure maintenance of adequate levels of staffing, equipment and medical supplies for field units.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and standards.
  • Perform direct ALS patient care activities.
  • Maintain communication with other agencies and departments.
  • Serve on committees with other departments to set policies and generate ideas.
  • Communicate company goals and standards of excellence through exemplary daily job performance, attitude, initiative, and demeanor.
  • Prepare reports and manages projects as assigned by Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Maintain availability during disaster situations or mass casualty incidents and assist in any capacity needed.
  • Attend scheduled meetings.
  • Responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal employment laws and company policies. (i.e., Americans with Disability Act, Affimative Action Plan, etc.)
  • Responsible for supervising, directing and developing subordinates, including completing performance reviews, counseling sessions, etc.
  • Mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, counsel, and provide disciplinary actions to assigned team members, and works to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results.
  • Champion affirmative action efforts in all aspects of employment, including but not limited to staffing, training, promotion, etc.
  • Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of company/department policies and procedures.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Kansas State Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas State certification.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Current CPR, PHTLS, and ACLS certification, or equivalent credentials.
  • 3 years of EMS experience required.
  • Paramedic field experience is preferred; EMT field experience is considered.
  • Driving record in compliance with GMR policy.
