Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a Field Superintendent - Modernization to lead field technicians through hydraulic, gearless and geared elevator modernization projects.

You will oversee day-to-day field operations, surveys, bids and parts procurement, building strong teams while ensuring safety and quality standards. Strong communication and MS Office/SAP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 3 years of elevator industry experience.
• Experience in installation and service of elevators and escalators preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
• Computer proficiency required; MS Office, Lotus Notes and SAP preferred.
• Must communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage field technicians in day-to-day installation operations for modernization projects.
• Participate in field surveys for modernization opportunities and assist in bids.
• Determine scope of work and manpower, order parts as needed.
• Lead and develop field technicians, ensuring adherence to processes and standards.

Field Superintendent - Modernization

Responsibilities

The Candidate will be required to manage field technicians in the day-to-day operations of the installation of hydraulic, gearless, and geared elevator modernizations. Actively participate in field surveys for prospective modernization projects and be involved in preparing modernization proposals and bids. Must determine the scope of work required and the manpower needed to complete the project in a timely and profitable manner. Must have knowledge of elevator equipment and parts and the ability to determine the correct part required for all aspects of a project, and will be required to order these parts.

• Build a team environment by leading field technicians.
• Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools, and standards.
• Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union.
• Assure that each modernization project meets company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.
• Monitor job completion and drive efficiency.
• Implement customer and company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projects.
• Support the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaints.
• Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees.
• Participate in company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of elevator products, services, and procedures.

Qualifications
