Job summary

Schindler Group in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a responsible supervisor to manage field technicians during elevator modernization projects. You will lead surveys, develop proposals, and oversee parts ordering, ensuring timely, safe, and compliant execution.

The role requires union experience or strong supervisory background, plus proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and related tools. Apply to contribute to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction on key urban mobility projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field.
  • Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage field technicians in day-to-day installation and modernization projects.
  • Lead field surveys and prepare modernization proposals and bids.
  • Determine scope of work and manpower needs and order parts.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and contract compliance on projects.
  • Monitor progress and drive efficiency in project execution.
  • Support local sales in estimating bids and resolving customer concerns.
  • Foster teamwork and uphold Schindler standards across projects.

Your main responsibilities

The Candidate will be required to manage field technicians in the day to day operations of the installation of hydraulic, gearless and geared elevator modernizations. Actively participate in field surveys for prospective modernization projects and be involved in the preparation modernization proposals and bids. Must be able to determine the scope of work required and manpower needed to complete the project in a timely and profitable manner. Must have knowledge elevator equipment/parts and the ability to determine the correct part required for all aspects of a project and will be required to order these parts.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Build a team environment by leading field technicians
  • Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools and standards
  • Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union
  • Assure that each modernization project meets Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.
  • Monitor job completion and drive efficiency
  • Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projects
  • Support the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaints
  • Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
  • Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures
What you bring
