Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent I/II to coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities across a discipline area. The role emphasizes strong leadership, scheduling, and customer service, with travel and development opportunities at two experience levels.

The ideal candidate will have a construction management degree or equivalent trade experience, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and foster relationships with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Must have Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability; coordinate with design engineers.
• Develop and manage project schedule and site logistics; collaborate with superintendents.
• Coach, supervise, and develop team members; conduct site meetings and interviews as needed.
• Ensure task coding, track progress, and drive safety, quality, and compliance.
