Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Las Vegas, NV, seeks a Field Superintendent - Modernization to lead field technicians through hydraulic, gearless and geared elevator modernization projects.

You will oversee day-to-day field operations, surveys, bids and parts procurement, building strong teams while ensuring safety and quality standards. Strong communication and MS Office/SAP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 3 years of elevator industry experience.
• Experience in installation and service of elevators and escalators preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
• Computer proficiency required; MS Office, Lotus Notes and SAP preferred.
• Must communicate well, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage field technicians in day-to-day installation operations for modernization projects.
• Participate in field surveys for modernization opportunities and assist in bids.
• Determine scope of work and manpower, order parts as needed.
• Lead and develop field technicians, ensuring adherence to processes and standards.
• Maintain safety and quality standards, and meet contract requirements.
• Monitor progress, drive efficiency, and support sales with bid estimates.
• Foster teamwork and coordinate with the local union to maintain good relations.
• Participate in professional development to enhance elevator product knowledge.
