Southland Industries is seeking a seasoned supervisor to direct field supervision and craft personnel across piping, plumbing, or sheet metal trades. The role focuses on enforcing quality, safety, and cost-efficiency guidelines while guiding subordinate supervisors and solving complex construction issues.

The position requires a strong leadership background, OSHA familiarity, and the ability to interpret drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Completion of craft apprenticeship program or equivalent skill level and training
• 5+ years in supervisory position
• OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six months from date of hire)
• An active Texas Journeyman Plumber license may be required for individuals overseeing work in this field.
• Ability to understand project scopes and objectives across trades
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
• Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities

Responsabilités

• Provide direction to field supervision and craft personnel for construction activities.
• Direct and mentor supervisory personnel.
• Serve as senior technical advisor and assist with difficult problems.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety programs.
• Participate in safety investigations and reviews.
• Authorize personnel transactions based on performance and need.
• Develop and monitor quality control programs.
• Oversee scheduling, organization, and implementation of projects.
• Prepare labor and cost tracking reports.
• Assist in supervisory training programs.
