Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial HVAC and plumbing projects in the Baltimore area. You will coordinate crews, manage daily site activities, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across projects.

The role requires 5+ years of supervision on construction sites, strong leadership and communication skills, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects.
• HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical or MEP experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading field crews and managing day-to-day jobsite operations.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management tools.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day jobsite operations from project startup through closeout.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to keep projects moving.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and manpower plans.
• Monitor productivity and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Participate in project meetings with clients and general contractors.
• Work with VMG team to resolve field challenges.
