Job summary

Nasser Holdings, a Houston-based holding company, seeks a Field Superintendent for Goldbeam Construction to lead restaurant and retail buildouts across Texas. You will own the site, schedule, subcontractors, and safety, ensuring on-time openings and high-quality work.

You will manage multiple active sites, coordinate inspections, and drive timely turnkey turnover while maintaining daily reports and site documentation. A strong safety record and Texas credentials are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years running commercial job sites as a superintendent with restaurant/retail TI experience.
• Knowledge of kitchen MEP, health dept requirements, hood systems, and grease systems.
• Fluency with permitting and inspections in Houston area and surrounding municipalities.
• Ability to run multiple active sites in the same week.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• A clean safety record.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day field operations on restaurant and retail buildouts, often more than one at a time.
• Schedule and direct subcontractors, ensuring schedule and scope adherence.
• Own site safety, including OSHA compliance, toolbox talks, and site conditions.
• Manage quality control and enforce drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate inspections: city, county, health department, and fire marshal across Houston and TX.
• Manage kitchen equipment installs, hood/grease systems, walk-ins, and interceptors.
• Identify field conflicts early and drive resolution to protect schedule.
• Maintain daily reports, photos, and as-built markups.
• Coordinate deliveries, laydown, and site logistics in occupied centers.
• Walk punch lists and drive projects to CO and turnover.
• Support closeout with warranties, operations docs, and final walkthroughs.
• Keep PM and VP of Construction informed; no surprises.

Job description

Nasser Holdings is a Houston based holding company that builds, acquires, and operates businesses across restaurants, franchising, and construction. Our operating companies are Wingbay, a fast growing chicken wing restaurant and franchise brand; Dripped, a taco restaurant group; and Goldbeam Construction, our commercial general contractor. We are privately held and founder owned. Our teams are small, the work is real, and the people we hire own their results.

This role sits with Goldbeam Construction, the Nasser Holdings company that handles commercial construction for the group. Goldbeam builds restaurant and retail spaces across Texas, both for our own brands and for outside clients and franchisees. Most of our work is tenant improvement and second generation restaurant buildouts on tight schedules, where a signed lease and a grand opening date are already on the calendar.

About the role

Run the field. You own the site, the schedule, the subcontractors, and the quality of what gets built. When a restaurant opens on time, that is you. When it does not, that is also you.

What you will do

• Run day to day field operations on restaurant and retail buildouts, frequently more than one at a time
• Schedule and direct subcontractors, and hold them to both the schedule and their scope
• Own site safety, including OSHA compliance, toolbox talks, and site conditions
• Manage quality control and enforce the drawings and specifications
• Coordinate all inspections: city, county, health department, and fire marshal, across Houston area and other Texas jurisdictions
• Manage kitchen equipment set, hood and grease duct installation, walk in coolers, and grease interceptors
• Identify field conflicts early and drive them to resolution before they cost schedule
• Maintain daily reports, photo documentation, and as built markups
• Coordinate deliveries, laydown, and site logistics, including work inside occupied shopping centers and malls
• Walk punch lists and drive each project to certificate of occupancy and turnover
• Support closeout with warranties, operations and maintenance documentation, and final walkthroughs
• Keep the Assistant Project Manager and VP of Construction informed. No surprises.

What we are looking for

• 3 or more years running commercial jobsites as a superintendent, with real restaurant or retail tenant improvement experience, ground up or second generation
• Working knowledge of kitchen mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, health department requirements, hood systems, and grease systems
• Fluency with permitting and inspections across City of Houston, Harris County, and surrounding municipalities, and the ability to pick up a new jurisdiction quickly
• Ability to run multiple active sites in the same week
• Willingness to make in state travel to Texas projects when needed
• Valid Texas driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• A clean safety record

Nice to have

• Bilingual English and Spanish
• National brand or franchise rollout experience where the opening date is tied to a signed lease
• Experience with night and off hours work in occupied retail centers
• Self perform capability on any trade
