Job summary

Talently is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead nationwide ground-up projects across retail, office, healthcare, and fuel stations. You will manage on-site activities, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with PMs and clients to meet schedule and budget goals.

The role requires at least 2 years of commercial ground-up experience, strong blueprint reading, OSHA 30 certification, and proven leadership on diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in commercial ground-up construction.
• Proficiency reading blueprints and understanding codes.
• OSHA 30 certification and leadership on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule, quality, and budget goals are met.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and client representatives to resolve conflicts and align with project specifications and codes.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure scopes are understood and executed properly.
• Maintain accurate daily job reports, purchase orders, site photos, and time logs.
• Facilitate weekly safety meetings and participate in incident investigations when necessary.
• Conduct site housekeeping, equipment oversight, and tool management.
• Lead project close-out efforts, including punch list completion, red-line drawings, and warranty submissions.
• Mentor field staff including Project Engineers, Foremen, and Carpenters.

Must-Have Skills

• Ability to perform physical labor on-site (lift/carry up to 50lbs, push/pull up to 100lbs, stand/walk for long periods).


• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in fuel/petroleum station or restaurant construction.


• Background in retail, office building, or healthcare project delivery.


• Familiarity with nationwide travel logistics and scheduling.
