Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking a SUE Technician in Sarasota, FL to perform underground utility locating and dig test holes to measure depth. The role requires operating Vac Truck Equipment and heavy equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability. Expect outdoor work, potential travel up to 5 days, and overtime as needed.

The position is contract-to-hire and onsite, offering competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within Geomatics. Salary is hourly and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED.
• Ability to perform heavy labor.
• Comfortable working outside in extreme heat and weather.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR check.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 5 days during the week.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Previous utility locating or survey experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use underground utility locating equipment to identify utility positions.
• Dig test holes to measure the depth of underground utilities.
• Operate Vac Truck Equipment, jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose, and air lance.
• Perform daily basic maintenance on equipment.
• Engage in heavy physical labor and ensure safety standards are met.
