Job summary

Mabe Steel Inc. seeks a Connector to perform on-site field connections for structural steel projects. You will receive beams from cranes, guide connections, and maintain fall protection while working at heights.

Ideal candidates have experience with steel connections, comfort working at heights, and physical stamina. Basic welding is a plus, and OSHA 10 is preferred. This is full-time, on-site work with travel to active job sites.

Qualifications

• Experience connecting structural steel preferred.
• Comfort at significant heights and walking on steel.
• Strong work ethic and stamina for repetitive, physical work.
• Basic welding ability is a major plus.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work at elevated heights to receive, guide and connect beams, columns and joists as they are flown in by the crane.
• Install initial bolts and make connections safely and quickly, day in and day out.
• Communicate with the rigger, signal person and crane operator throughout each lift.
• Tie off and maintain 100% fall protection while connecting.
• Assist with bolting-up, plumbing and light welding as needed.
