Job summary

Central Florida Steel Llc is currently seeking experienced Structural Steel Ironworkers for ongoing and upcoming projects in the Town of Florida, New York. You will be responsible for the erection and connection of steel structures including beams, columns, braces, joists, and decking.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of structural steel erection experience, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to read structural drawings. Collaboration and safety adherence are critical in this role.

Job Description:

We are currently hiring experienced Structural Steel Ironworkers for ongoing and upcoming projects. You will be responsible for the erection and connection of steel structures including beams, columns, braces, joists, and decking.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
  
  
• Unload, place, and connect steel components using cranes, rigging, and hand tools
  
  
• Bolt-up, weld, and align steel components to exact specifications
  
  
• Work safely at heights on steel frameworks
  
  
• Use appropriate PPE and adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines
  
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
  
  
• Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, and welding tools (if certified)
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of structural steel erection experience
  
  
• Familiarity with tools and rigging equipment used in steel erection
  
  
• Comfortable working at heights in all weather conditions
  
  
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and fall protection
  
  
• Ability to read structural drawings and connect steel accordingly
  
  
• Must have reliable transportation
  
  
• NCCER, AWS, or other welding certifications are a plus
  
  
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred
