Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Sprinkler Inspector III to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on sprinkler and suppression life safety systems. This field role requires hands-on work, accurate recordkeeping, and strong customer service.

You will work with a team to document deficiencies, operate testing equipment, and support installation tasks with safety and professionalism. This position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Ability to obtain and retain licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50–70 lbs.
• Ability to work in ladders, scaffolding, and up to 40 ft heights.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Demonstrated high level of customer service.
• Commitment to safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing and maintenance on sprinkler systems.
• Identify, document, and communicate deficiencies.
• Complete inspection records with proper coding using various documentation methods.
• Follow structured inspection schedules and complete inspections on time.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes when authorized.
• Assist with installation of various sprinkler systems.
• Use testing equipment and meters to support inspection work.
• Work safely in challenging field conditions.
