Job summary

Drugscan, Inc. is seeking a Field Specimen Processor to collect and ship patient specimens with accuracy and timeliness. The role also supports Customer Services needs, including payment collections, portal assistance, and project-based tasks.

The position requires collecting specimens, following SOPs, and maintaining HIPAA and company policies. This is a part-time on-site role at 1250 Moore Lake Dr E, Minneapolis, MN with a 4-hour weekly schedule on Mondays and Thursdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

Job Title: Field Specimen ProcessorDepartment: Field ServicesLocation: 1250 Moore Lake Dr E, Minneapolis, MN 55432Hours Per Week: 4 hoursSchedule: Monday and Thursday 10 AM - 12 PMSUMMARYThe Field Specimen Processor is responsible for collecting and shipping patient specimens in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. In addition to Field Service responsibilities, is responsible for supporting Customer Services needs such as payment collections, customer calls, portal assistance, and project-based needs.RESPONSIBILITIESGreet and identify patient.Obtain billing and testing information according to SOP.Collect urine and oral fluid specimens for testing (observe collection as needed).Package and prepare specimens for shipping.Adheres to all HIPAA and DRUGSCAN compliance policies as they pertain to patient information, orders and billing processesComplies with safety rules and regulations to include proper handling procedures of samples, cleanliness and neatness of workstations and proper use of personal protective equipment.Manage collection supplies.Perform customer service duties to include phone inquiries and patient encounters as needed.Collects patient payments as needed.Assist with Customer Service pickup requests as needed.Answer incoming calls from clients as needed.Make outbound calls as needed for missing information.Place supply orders as needed.Assist clients with DRUGSCAN portals as needed.Manage shared inboxes as needed.Log tasks with CRM as needed.Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalency required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExcellent communicationActive listeningEmpathyProblem-solving abilitiesPositive attitudeTime managementAdaptability1 year of customer service experience preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning.
