Job summary

Sol-Up in Reno, NV seeks a Solar Service Technician to join the Operations team. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on solar panels and systems, including rooftop and ground-mounted installations, ensuring safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in electrical systems, preferably solar.
• OSHA 10 certification required or able to obtain.
• Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on solar panels and systems with attention to detail
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with solar panels and systems in a timely manner
• Repair or replace faulty components as needed
• Ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently
• Communicate with customers with professionalism to provide updates on work progress and answer any questions they may have
• Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
• Maintain a clean and organized work site, including work trucks, tools and equipment
• Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology and safety as directed
• Use designated tools, systems, resources, and applications to manage various aspects of the job
• Represent Sol-Up and our brand with professionalism, integrity, and passion
• Strictly follows quality, safety and workplace behavior standards
• Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
• Complete other duties as assigned or required
