Job summary

ACT Power Services seeks a field-based Plant Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a utility-scale solar PV plant. You will oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production with a strong safety focus.

The role requires travel to various sites across the United States, working from customer locations rather than a central office, with on-call rotations and extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PV maintenance experience including PV DC operations and AC MV systems.
• Experience with SCADA, DAS and UPS systems and CMMS platforms.
• Knowledge of NEC and standard design/construction practices.
• Ability to read electrical single-line and three-line diagrams.
• Proficiency with MS Office; valid driver’s license.
• NABCEP Certified Installation Professional preferred.
• OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, 70B knowledge; OSHA 10 certificate.
• Willingness to travel; on-call during off-shift hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything you do.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar facilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical tests and testing equipment.
• Maintain maintenance schedules for trackers, inverters, transformers and substations.
• Maintain company assets and documentation, including service reports and spare parts.
• Provide maintenance training to technicians as needed.
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
