Job summary

JP Cullen is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to support on-site construction projects. You will partner with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to coordinate daily activities, ensure safety, schedule, and quality on complex builds.

The role involves interpreting drawings, quality control, RFIs, and coordinating with subcontractors. Ideal for those with construction or engineering management backgrounds and a drive for hands-on field experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction or related field or equivalent
• Exceptional communication and writing skills and proficiency in a wide variety of computer programs, with the aptitude and willingness to learn new software and systems.
• Appetite for challenges and fast career growth with responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze construction methods (crane reaches, formwork design, erosion control, grading modifications).
• Produce sketches and drawings to show field conditions to the architect, clarify plan details for craft persons (e.g. lift drawing).
• Verify quality and compliance of installation with specs and drawings.
• Process and expeditie RFIs; distribute information and ensure correct incorporation of answers.
• Participate in Operation Planning Process and weekly coordination meetings, superintendent meetings, daily crew huddles and foreman meetings.
• Organize and schedule pre-install meetings for subcontractors; prepare agendas and ensure attendance.
• Prepare and monitor delivery schedule log; inspect shipments as directed by the Superintendent.
• Project closeout – expedite punchlist and track completion.
