Job summary

Fenagh Engineering & Testing is seeking a CWI Inspector to perform inspections for the shop and field, including audits, structural steel fabrication and erection, material ID, and welding processes from joint fit-up through completed welds. The position supports a client in Point Mugu, CA.

General responsibilities include field/shop inspections, collecting MTRs, VT on progressing members, high-strength bolting inspections and tests, and daily reporting.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI Certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years of inspection experience.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PDF.

Responsibilities

• Perform observation and inspection in the shop & field.
• Collect MTRs for heat numbers and tracking.
• VT on members in progress.
• High strength bolting inspections & tests.
• Compile daily reports outlining inspections and reporting deficiencies (if any).
• Read and understand specific project plans and specifications.
• Communicate with the project team regarding project requirements and inspection results.
