Job description

Fenagh Engineering and Testing is seeking a CWI/S1/S2 Inspector to perform inspections for the shop/field. To include the following: audits, inspecting structural steel fabrication and erection, material identification, welding to include joint fit-up, in-process welding, completed welding, MT & UT as required by code, and high-strength bolting inspections.

CWI / S1 and S2

General Responsibiliti es:

• Perform observation and inspection in the shop & field.
• Collect MTRs for heat numbers and tracking.
• VT on members in progress.
• High strength bolting inspections & tests.
• Compile daily reports outlining inspections and reporting deficiencies (if any).
• Read and understand specific project plans and specifications.
• Communicate with the project team regarding project requirements and inspection results.

Requirements:

• AWS CWI Certification.
• Either S1 Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector and and S2 Structural Welding Special Inspector certifications required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PDF).
• Able to travel to various locations.

Preferred:

• NDT Level II MT and UT
