Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts seeks a skilled vehicle mechanic for maintenance and repair of fleet equipment. You will work in a shop and in the field locally, performing diagnostics and preventive maintenance on gasoline and diesel vehicles, with a route to troubleshoot and repair to maximum reliability.

Two to three years of mechanical experience and a valid driver’s license are required; CDL is preferred. Hydraulics experience and capability to work with specialized gear are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of mechanical repair experience.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Hydraulics experience preferred.
• Ability to work in shop and field locally.
• Knowledge of fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes repair orders and communicates repair status to clients.
• Diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Fabrication, welding and modification of parts for specialized equipment installations.
• Operates shop equipment and adheres to safety rules.
• Inspects parts and maintains parts storage facilities.
• Tests and operates vehicles and equipment as needed.
• Assists with field inspections and repairs.
