Job summary

Clean Harbors in Henderson, CO is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team, performing hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials. The role requires physical work, on-call emergency response, and adherence to DOT and safety regulations; new hires attend a two-week Academy out of state with expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Emergency response availability; on-call; may work weekends/holidays; shifts can exceed 8 hours.
• Background check, drug test, and physical required.
• Per OSHA respirator standards, facial hair may be restricted for respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and hand tools; use powered tools.
• Wear and use PPE properly and follow safety guidelines.
• Work in varying temperatures indoor/outdoor and all weather conditions.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and in compliance.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and work from trucks/tanks.
