Job summary

Hydro Inc. is seeking a Field Services Supervisor to oversee pump installations at customer sites and serve as the customer liaison to support sales. The role is home-based with extensive travel across the US and internationally as needed.

You will build strong relationships, train customers and staff, and drive service reports and timekeeping, while ensuring issues are resolved promptly and opportunities for sales are captured.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years field or shop experience working on high energy pumps and pumping equipment.
• History of cross OEM experience is a major plus.
• Experience in aftermarket sales and/or field service is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrates patience and ability to work with customers under any circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pump installations at customer sites in the field.
• Travel to and from customer sites with overnight stays as required.
• Install, troubleshoot, and support pumping equipment for new and continuing customers.
• Train and provide ongoing support to customers and internal staff.
• Maintain timely service, expense, and time reports; build long-term customer relationships.
• Act as customer liaison to drive issues to resolution and feed sales leads back to Sales.
• Be on-call 24/7 and capable of extended project travel (80–100%).

You will perform oversight of pump installations at power plant facilities and be a customer liaison to help with the sales function. This position is home based and requires extensive travel within the US and internationally, if needed.Essential Job Responsibilities:Work in the field at the customer site overseeing pump installationsTravel to and from customer sites, overnight travel as required.Equipment installation and troubleshooting of assigned equipment for new Customers and extensions for existing customers.Training and ongoing support for Customers, sales and other in-house personnelResponsible for all related aspects of Customer calls, including the timely completion of service reports, expense reports and weekly time reports.Retain and develop strong long-term relationships with Customers, sales and in-house support staff.Act as Customer liaison and help drive customer issues to resolution.Drive Customer retention and loyalty in order to increase our long-term profitability.Gathering Customer information including product and business information.Proactively identifying areas of improvement and with products and services.Resolve customer problems promptly.Identify sales leads and feed information back to Sales.Some heavy lifting required**To be available and on-call 24/7** except during planned absences (vacation, medical, etc.)Oftentimes called upon to be away on projects for extended periods of time.
