Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Service Technician to support our healthcare product portfolio and help sustain lives. You will lead field service activities, repair medical devices, and perform routine maintenance in service centers and on-site locations.

The role requires 3+ years working with FDA-regulated medical devices, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a DOT physical card. A high school diploma or GED and technical training are preferred, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or trade school training preferred.
• 3+ years with medical devices in hands-on environment.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT medical card required.
• Schedule flexibility / on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required safety and compliance learning modules on a timely basis and complete medical testing in a timely manner.
• Safely operate a fleet vehicle ranging in size from a cargo van to a 26000 pound truck.
• Lift and carry up to 65 pounds using appropriate processes and safety procedures.
• Lead and conduct training on Baxter portfolio products and services at the service center, territory, and area levels.
• Perform complex repairs on medical products beyond simple and minor cosmetic repairs or component replacements.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance procedures on various medical products, including pre-installation maintenance, and modification procedures.
• Visually, audibly, and manually inspect Baxter products for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or cosmetic problems requiring adjustment or repair.
• Coordinate daily work assignments, oversee and engage in field and warehouse activities, and manage accurate on-site inventory.
