Our client is hiring a Field Services Specialist who will be responsible for applying an
understanding of the various Trimble solutions represented to a diverse customer base located
throughout the northeast.
In this role, you will focus on companies that can benefit from Trimble’s world-class portfolio throughout the Design-Build-Operate (DBO) lifecycle of the building construction industry.
By adopting Trimble field technology (layout, 3D scanning & Augmented Reality), general contractors, construction managers, and specialty contractors can realize greater efficiency and profitability.
The primary function of this role is providing instructor-led training to customers on various
Trimble solutions. This role is a part of our growing Services Team based in the greater Northeast Area (Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York). We’re looking for someone to join the team immediately.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES:
- Develop a mastery of all Trimble solutions within the portfolio by attending internal training and on-the-job mentorship from the various team members.
- Work closely with the operations team to understand the post-sale implementation and training requirements to be delivered.
- Provide on-site and Virtual instructor-led training on various Trimble solutions.
- Deliver technical presentations which demonstrate and enforce the value of the solutions in terms of the productivity & accuracy it brings to them in the field.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on what is current with Trimble products.
- Manage and maintain accurate records within Salesforce.
- Provide timely communication both before and after training classes are delivered.
- Assisting Customers with issues arising while using the solutions in the field.
- Positive positioning of additional training and accessories that Customers may benefit from
- Generate additional leads for the Sales Team
- Present a professional and positive company image that models the company values.
BEHAVIORAL TRAITS, ATTITUDES, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Demonstrated success in delivering training to an adult audience, self-motivation, being a team player, excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to manage independently with little supervision, and ability to operate with high accuracy/perfection.
PREREQUISITES (i.e., education, experience)
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge, plus CRM experience, is valuable. (i.e., Salesforce).
- BA/BS or equivalent experience preferred
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit accustomed to aggressive growth
- 2+ years of experience as a construction tradesman (MEP, Architectural, Structural, commercial construction project manager) OR at least three years experience in a similar training role for construction-related products. Knowledge of the construction layout process (either manual or automated/digital) is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with the innate desire to help others learn new technologies and can communicate effectively via telephone, email, & most importantly in person.
- Possess a self-managed and highly independent mindset.
- Ability and resilience to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and online collaboration tools
- Experience with CRM and opportunity management systems, preferably Salesforce
- The ability to travel up to 80% via a company-provided vehicle. Travel is primarily within Maryland, Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut.
- The ability to work from home if deemed necessary by management.
- Candidates must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a thorough background check.
