Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities of calibration field technicians.
• Schedule and arrange training for all field technicians.
• Ensure timely and professional completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with scheduling to assign technicians and communicate with customers.
• Prepare out-of-tolerance reports and investigations.
• Maintain Cap-X list and budget.
• Collaborate with Tool Room Coordinator on equipment room.
• Work with Corporate Metrologist to update calibration procedures and templates.
• Support QA to keep field procedures and docs up to date.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The Position

The Field Service Manager will work with and oversee technicians in the field in order to ensure that customers’ needs are met in a timely and proficient manner. This position will require you to work on individual projects while managing a team of technicians in remote areas simultaneously. This is an exempt salary role with the expectation that the Field Services Manager works a minimum of eight-hour weekdays during core business hours. The position will be based out of the Marietta, GA corporate office for four out of five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day activities of the calibration field services technicians
• Schedule and arrange for training for all field technicians
• Ensure that technicians are performing job duties in a timely and professional manner
• Partner with scheduling coordinator to schedule upcoming jobs, appoint the appropriate technicians to jobs, communicate with customers to schedule appointments, and handle any concerns that the customer may have as a result from an onsite appointment
• Perform and complete out of tolerance reports and investigations
• Maintain the Cap-X list and budget
• Handle relevant customer needs and complaints
• Collaborate with the Tool Room Coordinator in order to effectively manage the field services equipment room
• Work closely with Corporate Metrologist on updating all relevant calibration procedures, data templates and uncertainties
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department in order to ensure field specific calibration procedures and reference documentation are up to date
• Other duties as assigned by management
