Job summary

NES Fircroft is partnering with a growing engineering and field services organization to add experienced Protection & Control and Electrical Testing Technicians to support utility, industrial, renewable energy, and EPC projects across the United States.

This hands-on role focuses on commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing electrical power systems on transmission and distribution projects, with remote work options and travel opportunities, plus per diem for eligible assignments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical testing, protection & control, or commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection & control testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities.
• Test and maintain protective relays, transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, CTs/PTs, batteries, and other substation equipment.
• Support outage planning, commissioning programs, maintenance testing, and field investigations.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote a strong safety culture.
