SURGE Staffing is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Healthcare Technology to support healthcare facilities across the Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, and Madison, WI regions. You will install, service, and repair specialized medical equipment, traveling regionally to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of technical, mechanical, or field service experience or an associate degree/trade cert with 1+ year of technical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel regionally with up to 100% travel by air and vehicle.

Responsibilities

We're hiring a Field Service Engineer I – Healthcare Technology to support healthcare facilities throughout the Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, and Madison, WI regions.

• Perform field modifications (recalls), upgrades, software updates, and warranty repairs
• Conduct equipment calibration, testing, and performance verification
• Provide professional on-site support while traveling throughout the region

What we're looking for:

• 2–4 years of technical, mechanical, or field service experience, or
• An associate degree or technical/trade school certification with 1+ year of technical experience (internships and apprenticeships welcome)
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel regionally with up to 100% travel by air and vehicle
