  • Diagnose equipment failures and determine effective, cost-conscious repair strategies designed to minimize customer downtime and overall time to resolution.
  • Provide technical support to customers regarding the operation, maintenance, and performance of supported equipment.
  • Provide phone and remote technical assistance to customers and other Field Service Engineers as needed.
  • Troubleshoot moderately complex mechanical issues, including vacuum-related problems, software issues, networking problems, and imaging system defects.
  • Perform equipment testing, verification, checkout, and calibration using appropriate electronic testing equipment.
  • Manage and maintain spare-parts inventories for assigned customers, including replenishing customer spare-parts kits as necessary.
  • Ensure serviced equipment operates according to applicable technical specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of service visits, technical issues, troubleshooting activities, repairs performed, and parts utilized.
  • Maintain current technical documentation related to the operating characteristics, design, and performance of assigned equipment.
  • Prepare reports and documentation to support analysis of product failures, recurring technical issues, and equipment serviceability.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge, professionalism, and safety awareness while performing field service activities.
  • Accurately document customer and service activity through Salesforce, email, expense reports, and other company systems.
  • Complete required technical and professional training as part of onboarding and ongoing development.
  • Travel to customer locations as required and provide support during standard and non-standard working hours based on customer needs.
  • Significant professional experience working with electronic and electromechanical systems.
  • Experience using testing equipment for verification, checkout, and calibration of electronic equipment.
  • Strong technical experience with computers and PC-based systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic, mechanical, software, and networking-related issues.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve moderately complex mechanical problems, including basic vacuum-related issues.
  • Ability to identify and repair routine software, network, and imaging system issues.
  • Strong computer troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and other standard business applications.
  • Ability to complete required technical training as established during onboarding and ongoing performance evaluations.
  • Ability and willingness to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work effectively with small components and objects.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including for extended periods when required.
