Job summary

ABB is seeking a Services Field Application Engineer to support the North Region. This remote role focuses on developing field service proposals for power delivery and automation solutions, identifying value-added services, and working with a regional commercial team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred) with 7+ years of experience OR a HS Diploma with 10+ years of experience (power delivery, relay, arc flash solutions preferred)
• Experience in application engineering or field engineering in power delivery products and systems with customer-facing roles in relevant sectors (Oil & Gas, metals, mining, data center, commercial buildings)
• Experience in reviewing customer specifications, developing proposals, and managing contract development and negotiations
• Strong oral and written communication abilities with demonstrated presentations across organizational levels
• Interpersonal and leadership skills with a customer-focused mindset for complex, integrated solutions
• Creative problem solving with ability to write technical specifications and proposals leveraging ABB portfolio
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US

Responsibilities

• Drive Business Growth by identifying new opportunities and proposing solutions
• Deliver Technical Solutions aligned with customer needs and prepare high-quality proposal content
• Lead Project & Proposal Execution including site assessments, material/labor requirements, and cost estimates
• Ensure Operational Alignment by communicating fulfillment requirements and supporting NPIs
