Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide expert on-site support for installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and train customer personnel to optimize performance.

Candidates should have an Associate’s degree or equivalent technical experience, 3–5 years in field service, and strong PLC/electrical skills. Travel is extensive, with occasional overnight stays, and safety is prioritized.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in field service with industrial machinery or food equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Understanding of electrical control systems, PLCs, and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and validate equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibrations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Replace components and adjust settings to restore operation.
• Deliver on-site training and document all service activities.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and travel to client locations
• Collaborate with sales and support teams to resolve issues promptly.
