Job summary

JBT Marel Corporation seeks a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair equipment at customer sites. You will perform commissioning, validation, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction while traveling extensively, often with short notice.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, PLC knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years field service experience with industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and validate JBT Marel equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibrations.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Document service activities with detailed reports, parts, and time spent.
• Provide technical training to customer personnel on operation and maintenance.
• Travel to various customer locations, often on short notice.
