Job summary

Controlled Environments Company (CEC) is seeking a Technical Operative to install, service, and repair vending machines and smart cabinets. You will diagnose hardware and software issues, replace faulty components, and maintain detailed service logs to ensure uninterrupted operations.

The role requires technical know-how across electrical, mechanical, and network systems, with the ability to work standing, bending, and lifting equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in complex environments.
• Experience diagnosing hardware malfunctions and software errors.
• Strong focus on service quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting and fix where appropriate.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, including hardware malfunctions and software errors.
• Replace or repair faulty components to restore full functionality.
• Conduct regular servicing and inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure machines are operating efficiently.
• Maintain a detailed maintenance schedule and service logs for each machine.
• Install and movement of equipment as required.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for repairs and maintenance.
• Goods receiving to include checking, counting and organisation of stock.
• Picking and packing customer orders to agreed timeframes and order turnaround times.
• Delivery of items to points of use when required.
• Stock checks and cycle counting of products with pro-active approach to maintaining stock accuracy.
• Work with a series of computerised systems.
• Manage project deliverables and tasks to completion within specified timeframes.
