Job summary

Vertiv Customer Engineer in Phoenix is responsible for installation, commissioning, and service on UPS, Power Distribution Units, and related products. You will establish rapport with customers and collaborate with sales, support, and operations to ensure equipment is installed and serviced to standard.

The role combines on-site field service with preventive maintenance and emergency responsiveness, requiring travel, safety compliance, and strong documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience required: ASEET/AMEET preferred; 4+ years military experience in a related technical field; 2+ years relevant industry experience.
• Interpersonal and Administrative Skills: communicate professionally, manage time, collaborate, and complete administrative tasks.
• Technical skills: site evaluation, electrical/electronic test equipment, follow procedures, basic fix/repair techniques, report tasks, and PC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform service tasks as assigned and as per company policies and procedures
• Capable of working under direct supervision or independently based upon training completion
• Render on-site and phone assistance to customers
• Communicate with Technical Support on technical or procedural issues
• Implement Field Change Notices per published guidelines
• Keep current on Safety Bulletins, Safety Field Change Notices, Field Change Notices, and Service Tips
