Job summary

WECO - A Duravant Company is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. You will travel to customer sites to install, start up, troubleshoot, repair and upgrade equipment, and to provide preventive maintenance and training.

The role requires a strong mechanical/electrical background, the ability to travel up to 75% during peak seasons, and willingness to obtain necessary travel documents. We value reliability, safety, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• EE, EET, EECS or Industrial Electronics degree is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain a passport.
• Extensive travel up to 75% during peak season, including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits and training services.
• Provide training to customer personnel on sequence of operations, functionality and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform quality control tests on repaired equipment and ensure service delivery goals are met.
• Communicate effectively with field service management and internal support teams to resolve issues.
• Provide technical support to customers via phone and email, including off-hours on a rotating schedule.
• Document all service activities timely and accurately; provide equipment reliability feedback for improvements.
• Attend training classes and technician meetings; comply with safety practices.
