Job summary

Hiab, a leader in smart and sustainable on-road load-handling solutions, seeks a field service technician. You will perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, and upgrades on forklifts, cranes, loaders, and related equipment across North Charleston and Myrtle Beach areas.

Requires DOT card, driver’s license, and 5+ years of mechanical/hydraulic/electrical experience. Travel is 100% with opportunities for growth; company benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with match, and tuition

Qualifications

• DOT Medical Card required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• No more than one moving violation in the last year / review of incidents
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Own tools required

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders and hoists per Manager’s instructions
• Follow safety rules, practices and environmental requirements
• Stay updated with internal bulletins and complete required technical courses
• Respond to customer queries to maximize satisfaction
• Keep records and submit daily reports as instructed
• Recognize sales opportunities and report to District Service Manager
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary
• Maintain professional image and follow the Quality System
