Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Phoenix, AZ. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain beverage equipment at customer locations, ensuring safety and timely service with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, educating customers, prioritizing calls, and maintaining inventory. Requires EPA 608 and Type I/II refrigeration certifications, a Valid Non-DOT license, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Non-DOT Driver's License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Able to kneel, squat, crouch, crawl and bend for repairs.

• Build positive relationships with customer contacts through clear communication.

Job description

Quick Look

• Pay: $27.15 per hour
• Location: Phoenix, AZ
• Work Days: Sunday - Wednesday
• Start Time: 8am
• End Time: 6:30pm

Install and troubleshoot beverage equipment to keep beloved brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Aquafina flowing at customer locations safely and on time.

What You’ll Do

• Install, set up, and perform preventative maintenance on vending, cooling, and/or fountain equipment
• Diagnose equipment issues and use good judgment to determine the best repair or replacement option
• Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures
• Prioritize and schedule service and preventative maintenance calls to meet customer service windows
• Drive to customer locations, evaluate situations, and perform necessary work (may include plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and carpentry)
• Remove old parts and replace with new parts; maintain parts inventory on your service truck
• Collect accurate equipment and customer information and complete documentation after each call (training provided)
• Build positive relationships with customer contacts at service calls through clear communication and follow through
• Unload and reload equipment with products as needed, and transport miscellaneous items (e.g., compressors, recycling)

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Valid Non-DOT Driver's License with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and Follow DOT regulations (Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Position must be able to lift up to 50lbs (with or without accommodation)
• Position must be able to reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without accommodation)
• Position requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending when making repairs, often in low places (with or without accommodation)
• Position requires EPA Section 608 Certification
• Position must be able to pass refrigeration certification Type I/Type II practices (if applicable)
