Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. Lakeside, CA is seeking a beverage equipment service technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain vending and cooling systems at customer sites. You’ll work on Pepsi, Gatorade, Aquafina equipment with emphasis on safety and uptime.

You’ll diagnose issues, perform repairs, schedule preventative maintenance, keep the service truck stocked, and educate customers. Training is provided; EPA Section 608 and Type I/II refrigeration certs are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and Follow DOT regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Position must be able to lift up to 50lbs (with or without accommodation).
• Position must be able to reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without accommodation).
• Position requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending when making repairs, often in low places (with or without accommodation).
• Position must have EPA Section 608 Certification and refrigeration certification Type I/Type II.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on vending, cooling, fountain, ice, and frozen beverage equipment at customer accounts.
• Diagnose equipment issues and determine best repair or replacement solution.
• Install equipment by routing lines, connecting product, water and gas supply, and ensuring proper drainage; fill and adjust equipment to correct mixture.
• Prioritize and schedule service and preventative maintenance calls to meet customer service windows.
• Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep, document each service call, and maintain parts inventory on the service truck.

What You'll Do

• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on vending, cooling, fountain, ice, and frozen beverage equipment at customer accounts
• Diagnose equipment issues and use good judgment to determine the best repair or replacement solution
• Install equipment by routing lines, connecting product, water and gas supply, and ensuring proper drainage; fill and adjust equipment to the correct mixture
• Prioritize and schedule service and preventative maintenance calls to meet customer service windows
• Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep, document each service call using provided tools, and maintain parts inventory on your service truck while building strong relationships at every account

Minimum Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle with Non-Excepted Interstate Status and Follow DOT regulations (Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.)
