Job summary

Mazak Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician Trainee to join the Western Service department in Gardena, CA. Trainees will complete the Field Service training program and on-the-job training to learn installation, maintenance and repair of Mazak equipment.

Duties include traveling to customer facilities in the Los Angeles area, with overnight stays as needed. Responsibilities cover safe work practices, diagnosing mechanical, electrical and software issues, and testing machines after

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to quickly pick up technical concepts.
• Ability to read micrometers and dial indicators.
• Willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Field Service training program and on-the-job training.
• Install, maintain and repair Mazak equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories.
• Test operation of machines after installation or repair.
• Read blueprints, electrical schematics and job specifications as they apply to your craft.
• Travel to customer facilities, including overnight stays.
