Job summary

Mazak Corporation in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and repair Mazak machines and accessories at customer sites. You will assemble, level, align, calibrate and wire equipment, diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues, test operation, and train customers.

This role requires 2-year technical training, 3–7 years field service experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; travel with overnight stays is required.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly.
• 3-7 years of experience in Field Service.
• High School Diploma.
• Read/understand engineering drawings.
• Ability to read PLC and HYD/Pneumatic circuits.

Responsibilities

• Install machines and accessories at customer sites including assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines at customer sites.
• Test operation of machines after installation or repair.
• Train customers on machine functions.
• Travel with overnight stays as assignments require.
• Complete reports documenting installation, issues, repairs and parts used.
