Field Service Technician - San Antonio, Texas (Verifi)

Verifi® is a rapidly growing global SaaS and IoT technology company transforming the construction industry through connected technology and data-driven insights. Our innovative solutions combine embedded sensors, intelligent hardware, and cloud-based analytics to help customers improve efficiency, enhance sustainability, and optimize operations. As we continue to drive digital transformation across the industry, we are seeking talented professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.

The Field Service Technician is a remote, home-based position responsible for supporting Verifi® customers throughout the San Antonio, TX region. Serving as the primary technical representative in the field, this role provides installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair services for Verifi® systems and admixture dispensing equipment.

This position requires regular interaction with plant managers, batch plant operators, concrete mixer truck drivers, maintenance personnel, and other customer stakeholders. Because the technician will spend approximately 80% of their time independently at customer locations, the ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.

Success in this role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, flexibility, and critical thinking. Work schedules may vary based on customer needs and can include early mornings, evenings, overnight travel, and emergency service calls. The Field Service Technician plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, maximizing customer satisfaction, and supporting continued growth of Verifi's innovative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Verifi® systems and admixture dispensing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal equipment reliability and performance.
  • Respond promptly to customer service requests and emergency repair situations.
  • Analyze system performance data, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary field contact for customers while coordinating technical support and issue resolution with internal teams.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and exceptional service.
  • Partner with Sales teams to support customer retention and business growth initiatives.
  • Understand customer operating requirements and recommend solutions that improve performance and satisfaction.
  • Independently manage service schedules, prioritize work activities, and coordinate maintenance and repair efforts.
  • Provide technical expertise and on-site support while meeting established service expectations.
  • Complete all required safety training and adhere to company and customer safety policies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of concrete production operations and industry best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, service effectiveness, and the overall customer experience.
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Development teams to support continuous product improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in field service, equipment maintenance, technical support, or a related hands-on technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and 12/24V DC electrical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, meters, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accurate documentation practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, software platforms, and processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, overnight travel, and emergency service calls.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Previous experience as a Field Service Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Knowledge of the Ready-Mix Concrete, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing industries.
  • Experience supporting connected equipment, IoT technologies, industrial automation, or data-driven systems.
  • Familiarity with computer networking, system configuration, and software troubleshooting.
