Job summary

HIROTEC America seeks a Field Service Technician to support customers with electrical and mechanical expertise and to supervise field personnel during installations. The role requires travel to customer sites, including international destinations, to ensure successful deployment of tooling and body-in-white processes.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, knowledge of hemming/stamping, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of related experience and/or training in Assembly Tooling.
  • Knowledge of Hemming/Stamping.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understanding of Body-in-White system process.
  • MS Office computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and complete project activities within time and funding constraints.
  • Demonstrate strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and provide excellent customer service.
  • Travel to multiple customer facilities for tech support and installation supervision.
  • Supervise service personnel in the field across trades, robot programming, controls, inspection, and die tuning.
  • Provide field service reports and expense reports; obtain customer approvals at sites.
  • Serve as customer liaison at installation sites.
  • Initiate invoicing for billable hours.
  • Assist in providing spare parts to customers.
  • Maintain weekly roll-up reports and monitor budget allocations at sites.
  • Conduct field site inspections.
