Job summary

Wolter, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic in Indianapolis to travel to customer sites and repair powered industrial equipment, including forklift trucks, aerial equipment, and floor care machines. A company van, service laptop, iPad, credit card, and cell phone are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience repairing forklift trucks and other powered industrial equipment.
• Must own tools per our required tool list.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be certified to operate material handling equipment (training provided).
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete all service jobs assigned to you.
• Communicate with Road Lead Technician on issues or for technical assistance.
• Attend service training classes to maintain knowledge on new products.
• Submit all paperwork daily (timecards, maintenance reports with customer signature).
• Communicate with dispatcher/service office on status and availability for new jobs.
• Identify jobs to be sent to our shop for repair due to complexity or safety concerns.
• Develop and maintain relationships with territory sales reps to highlight sales opportunities.
• Always adhere to safety rules and policies.
