Job summary

Wolter, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to service customers in the Superior/Duluth area from our Eau Claire location. Travel to customer sites to repair powered industrial equipment, with a company van and field support provided.

Qualifications

• Must have very good skills in repairing powered industrial equipment with 2+ years of experience repairing forklift trucks and/or related products.
• Must complete training courses as required.
• Strong customer orientation and good communication skills.
• Written and verbal communication proficiency.
• Time management to juggle multiple priorities.
• Basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals.
• Must own tools necessary to perform repairs per our tool list.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Certified to operate material handling equipment (training provided).
• Commitment to company vision and mission.

Responsibilities

• Complete all service jobs assigned to you.
• Communicate with the Road Lead Technician about issues or needs.
• Attend training classes to stay updated on products.
• Complete and submit paperwork daily (timecards, reports with customer signatures).
• Coordinate with dispatcher/service office on status and new jobs.
• Identify jobs to send to the shop for repair when appropriate.
• Develop and maintain relationships with territory sales reps.
• Adhere to safety rules and policies at all times.
