Job summary

SWS Equipment, LLC is seeking a Service Technician to install, repair, troubleshoot, and retrofit customers' equipment. You will work on-site or in the shop, read hydraulic and electrical schematics, and apply product knowledge to diverse machinery, including refuse-related equipment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to learn and retain product information.
• Refuse equipment experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by adhering to all policies, processes, and safety protocols
• Read and follow engineering, hydraulic, and electrical schematic drawings and technical specifications
• Prepare new equipment for delivery to customers
• Provide customer guidance for improvement and proper equipment operation
• Assemble, test, and service systems and components
• Travel to customer job sites as needed, up to 25% travel associated with this position
• Manage workflow to ensure the company meets customer-required datesFollow the process of paperwork requirements for billing, reports, and other documentation
• Work in environmental conditions that may include periods of extreme heat and cold
• Participate in required on-the-job, manufacturer, and professional training
• Execute other duties as assigned
