Job summary

ProPump & Controls, Inc. in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Field Service Technician to service, install, and repair automated pump stations, pump controls, piping, valves, and related equipment.

You will identify opportunities for new equipment and service sales, working with Regional Field Service Manager and Inside Sales Manager to secure orders. A strong mechanical/electrical background and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communications skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read wiring schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Computer proficiency.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; must be willing to take a drug test.
• Some college or technical background preferred in science or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on automated pump systems.
• Diagnose pump motors and controls using meters and diagnostic tools.
• Instruct customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Install pump stations and pumps using cranes and heavy equipment.
• Set up and maintain telemetry networks (radios, cellular modems, DSL).
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect/repair system components.
