Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a field technician to travel to customer sites to troubleshoot pump, electrical, and water system problems. The role includes testing wells and pumps, maintenance, service, and repair of pumps, motors, controls and valves, and executing maintenance agreements with customers.

Responsibilities include testing and repairing equipment at customer locations, providing installation and troubleshooting, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; commercial driver and endorsements are a plus.
• Travel overnight up to a week occasionally.
• Minimum 1 year of field technician experience.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to operate hand tools, electronic equipment and other construction equipment.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat/cold and respond to after-hours needs.

Responsibilities

• Test and repair equipment at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot and install equipment.
• Attend to customer needs as required.
• Confirm equipment functionality after service.
• Provide telephone support for troubleshooting.
• Provide onsite services for individuals and organizations.
• Ensure equipment remains in proper working condition.
