Job summary

Power Solutions International (PSI) is a leader in large gen-set packaging and enclosures. The Field Service Technician will install, inspect, service, and commission equipment at customer sites, often traveling out of state to support projects.

The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical skills and the ability to read technical drawings. The person will travel up to 75% of the time, service at Jackson, MS area, and contribute to warranty activation and customer training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, including ability to apply math and read diagrams/manuals.
• Demonstrated success as a Field Service Technician with flexibility and reliable problem solving.
• Subject matter expert in operation, repair, and installation of switchgear and related power systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and start company equipment at customer sites following drawings and specs.
• Service products at customer sites, including testing and troubleshooting per engineering directives.
• Provide phone, email, or in-person support to customers as needed.
• Communicate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve product problems.
