Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a ProSolutions Technician in Liverpool, NY. The Field Service Mechanic A will lead in product knowledge, ensure equipment is maintained, and service customer jobsites with minimal supervision.

The role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a path to lead by example in safety and quality. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and customer education while building strong customer relationships across local job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics, pumps.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a consistent schedule of preventative maintenance at long term customer job sites.
• Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic and propane systems.
• Recondition and replace parts to return equipment to safe working condition.
• Educate customers on proper use of equipment to avoid future breakdowns.
